Established in 1893 by Monsieur Brédif, Maison Brédif is one of the most well-known and respected Maisons in the region and in the world for its high quality.

Known for its Vouvray but also for its late harvest wines Monsieur Brédif was a pioneer in the world of winemakers, creating the sparkling Vouvray at the beginning of the XX century.

In 1980 Baron Patrick de Ladoucette took up the torch as a real wine lover. He instilled a new lease of life to this century old house, keeping its high-quality and tradition.

Its troglodyte cellars dug in the tuffeau since the 10th century are among the most beautiful and the largest of the appellation. They keep in their galleries very rare wines which  vintages go back to 1874.

According to the clay-limestone and siliceous soil the sun exposure or the age of the vines, Maison Brédif vinifies three types of wines : Classic Vouvray, Marc Brédif Nectar which is late harvested in exceptional years, the Vigne Blanche, a wine produced out of grapes that bear the same name as the vineyard itself, exclusive property of the House : this monopole produces a great dry white wine.

Maison Brédif also produces in Chinon some red and rosé wines such as the prestigious cuvée Chinon Réserve Privée as well as the rare Chinon Blanc.
